Film Night in the Park 2002
MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
1939
This great film works on the premise that all that is necessary for evil to
triumph is the inaction of good men. Against this danger, director Frank Capra
shows a naive everyman to be the true guardian of democratic ideals. Jimmy
Stewart stars as the leaser of the Boy Rangers (boy scouts) who is suddenly sent
to Washington to be a senator.
When: Friday, July 5th 2002
Where: Central Field, Fairfax (corner of Broadway and Bank Street)
Showtime: 8:40 pm (125 min)
Sponsored by FRANK HOWARD ALLEN Realtors
Film Night suggests that you arrive 1 hour before Showtime. There is music and pre-show entertainment, and don't forget the picnic dinner. Pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, backrests and LOW chairs are recommended. People arriving with TALL chairs (more than 8 inches off the ground) may be asked to move to the sides of the viewing area. Film Night suggests leaving pets at home, as they displace people at our popular screenings. Food and beverage is welcome, we just ask that you please clean up after yourself. ENJOY!
