1961     124 min    Disney Hayley Mills plays twins in this innocent, fast-paced comedy, a favorite of countless youngsters in the 1960s. The twins are separated at birth when their parents divorce--one goes off with the father (Brian Keith), and the other with the mother (Maureen O'Hara). Reunited at a summer camp, they discover their relationship and, despite the extreme differences in their personalities, begin a scheme to get their parents back together by switching places when camp is over. They discover that their father is about to marry a gold digger and decide to put a stop to it, making her life miserable with all kinds of tricks and pranks. An enjoyable, corny Disney picture with a memorable soundtrack featuring tunes sung by Tommy Sands and Annette Funicello. Nominated by the Academy for Best Sound and Best Film Editing.
